Dedicated servers have been a topic of much debate for the past couple years among shooter fans; despite dedicated servers being a feature most fans want, some companies still refuse to shell out the money to help make their game run as smoothly as possible. However, Star Wars fans won’t have to worry about this as EA has confirmed that the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront will have dedicated servers.
While the game will not have a server browser, its matchmaking will be similar to that of Halo and Call of Duty, the game will have dedicated servers. Senior producer Jamie Keen revealed to PlayStation Lifestyle that “We’ll still have dedicated servers. Absolutely,”… “It’s one of the hallmarks of making sure we deliver an unparalleled online [experience] for the game.”
So it looks that rebels and imperials alike will have a smooth experience once Star Wars: Battlefront launches on November 17 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
