Nintendo of America has finally decided to release Super Mario RPG for the Wii U’s Virtual Console. It had been previously released last year in Japan, Europe & Australia. Now North America will finally see it as well.
Super Mario RPG will cost you $8 (USD), which is the norm for SNES titles on the Virtual Console. Originally released in 1996 for the SNES, the game was a partnership between Squaresoft (now Square Enix) and Nintendo. I hope one day Nintendo will decide to put this out on the NEW 3DS’s Virtual Console, since I’d much rather play my retro games on my 3DS over the Wii U.
