Bethesda has just announced the Creation Club, a collaborative effort to bring mods cross platform to several major titles.
In this E3 announcement, Bethesda outlines a system in which Bethesda devs will work hand in hand with content creators to make mods that will be available to add into games in an almost real time environment. The trailer also showed that mods can be obtained from a pop up, in-game system that seems to rely on credits for purchase.
Unfortunately, this looks like Bethesda is, again, trying to make paid mods a thing.
Further information will be revealed as the system prepares to launch this summer. Primary games include Fallout 4 and Skyrim and seem to be for all current consoles.
