According to an article on Gamingindustry.biz, Sony has set up a Covid-19 relief fund for $100 million USD. The fund is meant to support the medical workers who are doing their best to save lives during this epidemic. The money can also be used to assist the educators who continue to teach their students over the internet. You can also expect some of the funds to go towards artists and even children impacted by this pandemic.
An initial $10 million is going to be devoted to:
- (UNHCR) United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees and United Nations Foundation
- Swiss Philanthropy, Doctors without Borders + UNICEF and the last but not least the Covid19 solidarity Response Fund By the who.
Not so long ago, Sony confirmed that the PlayStation 5 release has not been impacted by the virus. However, most of their other upcoming repeases will be delayed including music and movies. Many of Sony’s movies have seen delays until next year.
