Each of Anthem’s Javelin Classes Have Been Revealed

Since its reveal, EA and Bioware have kept quiet throughout Anthem’s development process, which leaves fans to wonder what’s been up with the game? Well, some news has released giving us some more insight. First off Bioware has revealed all of the ultimate moves of each Javelin class, as well as a new Javelin “The Interceptor”. Check out each ultimate move below.

The Ranger

“Dealing precise damage across a wide swath of the battlefield, the Ranger’s Multi-target Missile Battery allows it to target many fast-moving enemies with guided projectiles. As the master of versatility in combat, the Ranger’s ultimate allows for a flexible approach that can quickly eliminate an overwhelming number of enemies.”

The Colossus

“The Siege Cannon is pure mayhem unleashed on the battlefield. This ability allows for multiple shots which each create large explosions, which makes it ideal for clearing out smaller enemies, controlling enemies in a choke point, or putting some extra damage on a boss.”

The Storm

“The Storm calls down a torrent of energy to decimate a targeted area. Manipulating the raw force of the Anthem, the Storm emits successive blasts of frost, electricity, and fire – ending with a meteoric finale. This ability is great when enemies are in a contained area where they’ll all be struck.”

The Interceptor

“The Interceptor becomes supercharged, arming its Assassin’s Blades and carving through enemies at high speed. Each target hit by one of these melee attacks will be hit continuously by echoes of the original attack over a 10-second duration. This is a highly precise attack that lets the Interceptor choose his targets carefully and single them out for huge damage.”

Anthem-TICGNSo unlike the Ranger, Storm, and Juggernaut suits, the Interceptor is a more agile and attack focused Javelin. With an ultimate attack that for a brief moment will give you invincibility while dealing heavy damage, with the Double Bladed daggers.

In a recent live-stream with lead producers of Anthem Mike Gamble and Ben Irving, they show off more of the world and various live events that take place during the game. According to Mike and Ben Anthem as just reached Alpha state. Which sounds about right given how ambitious the game is. So one thing you will notice as soon as the stream starts is customization. Mike Gable who played with the storm Javelin, you will see a yellow and black cloak. They detailed how other players in your party can come to heal you when you’re damaged, which is excellent during quest and missions.

The gameplay still looks smooth, not as stiff as previous videos have shown. The shooting mechanics look more refined as well. It also seems that they have toned down the damage indicators, which is a huge plus since before it could cover the majority of the screen and would simply just be in the way. Overall I’m happy with what I’ve seen during the stream and I cannot wait for the game to release. If you’re interested in checking out the stream please click here. Before you go check out our E3 2018 impressions of the game as well.

Anthem is slated to release February 22nd, for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
