While Xbox Live achievements began on the Xbox 360 console, they have been available on other platforms such as PC, iOS and even Android for years now. Their reach is about to become a little wider – Xbox Live achievements will be arriving on Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch via an update. This will be the first time in history that Xbox Live achievements will be available from a competing video game console.
If you are curious, there are a total of 79 achievements in the game for a total of 1,750 Gamerscore. The fine folks over at TrueAchievements have published the list of achievements and at first glance they appear to be the same as other versions of Minecraft.
The achievements cannot be earned on the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft just yet which leads us to conclude that they will be activated on an update that releases soon.
