Nintendo has announced the theme of Europe’s next Splatfest in Splatoon 2. The upcoming event will divide players based on their preference of toilet paper orientation.
The ultimate question is here. Front Roll or Back Roll? The EUÂ #Splatfest in #Splatoon2 will decide next Saturday at 16:00 CEST. pic.twitter.com/ACrfBhCf29

During the event, players will team up with others in their faction to take part in special Turf War matches. Once everything is over and one side emerges victorious, every participant recieves special sea snails for altering their gear. However, those who sided with the winning faction receive extra. Votes as well as the win ratios for random and team matchups all determine which side walks away with the bigger bonus.
All players must wear special shirts for the duration of the event. Those who vote early have the opportunity to earn buffs ahead of time to prepare for the big day. Additionally, the cost of scrubbing the shirt is much lower than other gear. As such, this the perfect chance to grind for chunks.
The event will begin at 16:00 CEST on October 7, 2017. As usual, it will last for 24 hours. While this will be the only Splatfest taking place during this weekend, Nintendo will announce the next theme for Japan on the same day.
