Borderlands hits Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility program

Borderlands is joining games like Battleblock Theatre, Shadow Complex and more as it joins the Backwards Compatibility program that will officially launch in November but is currently available to Xbox preview members.

Microsoft announced today that Borderlands and all of its DLC will be launching today in the Backward Compatibility program after it was teased at E3 in the video that showed off how Backwards Compatibility would work on the Xbox One.

“We are proud to support Xbox One Backward Compatibility by bringing the complete, original Borderlands to Xbox One, including all downloadable content,” said 2K President Christoph Hartmann. “We know many of our fans have put in dozens, even hundreds, of hours exploring the world of Pandora on their Xbox 360, and now they can continue their adventures on Xbox One.”

Backwards Compatibility will officially launch later this year in November with more then a hundred Xbox 360 games with even more to be added after its launch.
