Those who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Forza Motorsport 7 were able to play the game last week and it didn’t take long for them to realize an unwelcome change had been made to the game’s VIP pass. In past years the VIP pass granted the player double the amount of credits won after every race as well as exclusive bonuses such as cars and liveries. That changed with Forza Motorsport 7. The VIP pass gave the player 25 mods which could be used to double the credits won from races but a mod would be consumed after each race. Suddenly the VIP pass became a consumable.
The problem is Microsoft did not explain this on the game’s product page. The language indicated that the VIP pass worked exactly as it did in previous Forza games and the fans took to social media to make their displeasure known. The description was quickly updated but fans were still unhappy.
A recent announcement from the head of Turn 10 Studios, Alan Hartman, notified players that changes for the better are coming. All Forza Motorsport 72016 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 Forza Edition
More importantly, the VIP pass will work exactly as it did in previous Forza games. All races in the game will provide a 2X credit bonus if the player is a VIP member.
This is a great example of why it is important to provide feedback on products. Criticism can lead to improvement when heeded by the product makers.
