This weekend another Terminator movie was released. Terminator: Dark Fate grossed a disappointing $29 million in its opening weekend. Don’t expect this movie to have that staying power that Joker has. It does seem that fans just don’t care about this version of the machine apocalypse. Looks like it is time to retire the Terminator franchise for a long time.
Joker continued to make money for the DC brand as it grossed $13.9 million this weekend. The movie is now sitting at $934 million worldwide. We really could see this film top the billion mark. What will DC create for their fans if this movie just keeps making money and possibly winning a few Oscars? I still think that DC should have keep the darker tones and not tried to copy Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil grossed an estimated $12 million. This Disney movie now sits at $383 million worldwide.

Next weekend a larger numbers of movies will be coming to your local theater. Last Christmas, Midway, Better Days, Doctor Sleep, and Playing With Sleep are all coming out. Personally I’m excited to watch The Shining sequel Doctor Sleep and Midway when they come to my local theater.
