Yesterday, Nintendo announced that a special Pokémon Nintendo Direct would air. Today, Nintendo has revealed the next generation of Pokémon and what the next games will look like. In a new trailer, we finally got to see some footage of two Pokémon games built specifically for the Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Announced:

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield take place in the Galar region, an area teeming with new Pokémon and places to explore. from lush grassy suburbs to snowy, frosted mountains.
Here’s the new Pokémon Sword and Shield starters:
- Scorbunny – A Fire type
- Sobble – A Water type
- Grookey – A Leaf Type
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will release sometime in Late 2019. While the lack of a certain release date is disappointing, we’ll be sure to keep you updated and let you know the official release date when it arrives, in addition to any new trailers or announcements.
