Fans of Overwatch have been wondering who the next hero was and when they’d be revealed. Well, both of those questions have just received answers. The new Overwatch hero Brigitte has been revealed! Yes, Overwatch‘s newest addition is none other than Torbjörn’s daughter, a mechanical engineer turned valiant squire.

Here’s a look at her character description and abilities:Â
Brigitte specializes in armor. She can throw Repair Packs to heal teammates, or automatically heal nearby allies when she damages foes with her Flail. Her Flail is capable of a wide swing to strike multiple targets, or a Whip Shot that stuns an enemy at range. When entering the fray, Barrier Shield provides personal defense while she attacks enemies with Shield Bash. Brigitte’s ultimate ability, Rally, gives her a substantial short-term boost of speed and provides long-lasting armor to all her nearby allies.

Blizzard has done a fantastic job supporting Overwatch and it’s great to see that isn’t stopping anytime soon. I have to say, Brigitte’s design is simply superb, even by Overwatch standards. It’ll be interesting to see how she changes the gameplay up and whether or not more balancing will be needed as a result.
