Microsoft Reveals E3 2018 Plans; FanFest Site Is Open

Xbox Wire Editor in Chief Will Tuttle has shared some plans for watching Microsoft’s press conference during the 2018 E3 event. Expect to see more detailed looks at games that have already been announced and reveals for the rest of Microsoft’s games lineup for 2018 and “beyond”. That implies Microsoft is not going to follow their traditional strategy of only announcing games scheduled to be released within the next year or so. It seems that we will likely get some game announcements for this year, 2019 and maybe even 2020.

Microsoft’s 2018 E3 press conference will be held on Sunday, June 10th at 1 p.m. PDT. You will be able to view the presentation on Mixer.com or through the Mixer app on your Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Mixer will present the conference in six languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and German) and provide Closed Captioning in English. If you want to change languages, you can find that option in the settings panel on Mixer. There will be other streaming options which have not been announced yet but Xbox.com and YouTube are sure bets.

The new show, Inside Xbox, will be at E3 as well. Expect some exclusive announcements, industry interviews, prize giveaways and gameplay videos from the show on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of E3 week.

Finally, the registration website for the 2018 Xbox FanFest is live. You can register for a chance to attend the 2018 E3 Xbox press conference, FanFest or both. As a reminder, FanFest tickets will cost $45 this year but you get a backpack full of swag, food and an awesome time playing new games. There is no fee to enter the drawing for the press conference tickets. Only 400 FanFest and 1,000 conference tickets are available so best of luck to everyone who registers.
