The man with the hat is back! There’s been rumors about a new installment in the Indiana Jones franchise ever since Disney bought Lucasfilm back in 2012, but now it’s officially confirmed!
The next movie in the iconic film series hits theaters on July 19, 2019 with Steven Spielberg returning to direct and Harrison Ford set to reprise his favorite role.
Disney chairman, Alan Horn, says “Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” … “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”
No other details have been announced about the film yet, but prepare to start hearing more shortly as the film heads into production. The fifth installment in the Indiana Jones will release more than 11 years after the last film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
