With Halo 5: Guardians around the corner, some people have gotten their hands on the physical discs already and the install size for the game have been leaked. According to numerous reports, the game will require up to 60Gb of Hard Drive space. In comparison, Halo: The Master Chief Collection required a similar footprint.
This begs the question as to how big the Day One patch will be since The Master Chief Collection required you to download a huge 10Gb patch on day one. We’ve reached out to 343i for that little tidbit of information. Halo fans are also warned that they should exercise caution when clicking on Halo 5: Guardians links, as some people have already started posting up information on the game’s ending and story line. We hope Microsoft will be swift in getting these people banned for leaking this information so close to the launch of the game.
