Halo 5: Forge Coming To Win 10 On September 8

Halo 5: Forge was announced back in May and it’ll finally be hitting Windows 10 on September 8. Halo 5: Forge will give PC gamer’s all the access to Halo 5’s forge but with the finesse that a keyboard and mouse brings; this means that Halo 5‘s forge maps are about to get even better.

In addition to being able to create maps, players will be able to play in 4k resolution and will be able to host 16-player custom game matches. Gamers will be able to download levels from the Forge community that were made on both the Xbox One and Windows 10. While PC gamers may not be able to get the full Halo 5 experience, this is certainly the next best thing.

A new set of DLC will be launching for Halo 5 on September 8 as well. The update is titled Anvil’s Legacy and includes: a content browser that spans both platforms, two new maps for Arena/Warzone and various new cosmetic items like weapons, skins and REQs. It seems like a pretty hefty to Halo 5, giving players a ton of new content to explore.

Halo’s custom games have never been as popular as they were with Halo 3, but this could give a vital boost to Halo 5‘s custom games and perhaps even make it rival Halo 3‘s. The inclusion of a whole new player base could lead to some incredibly fun times. Maybe PC gamers will create a whole new gametype that could become a staple of Halo like Grifball and Infection. Who knows, but here’s hoping for some great matches!
