We are in the final week of August and that means (hopefully) cooler temperatures and a new batch of titles in Games With Gold for September. Let’s get to it starting with the Xbox One games.
A launch title for the Xbox One, Forza Motorsport 5 still offers a lot of great racing action. The game received criticism back in the day for the “cardboard cutout spectators”. I say, who has time to look at the bystanders while you’re racing past them?” Check this game out and then imagine the giant leap forward represented in Forza Motorsport 7. This game will be playable on September 1st.
The highly regarded supernatural mystery, Oxenfree, will make its way to you on September 16th. This game is described as a “graphic adventure” which means lots of walking and talking but trust me, the narrative is well worth checking out.
And now let’s look at the Xbox 360 Games With Gold titles.
Whatever happened to over-the-top arcade racers? At least we still have titles like Hydro Thunder for those fast paced thrills. This game will be yours on September 1st.
Some of the best multiplayer FPS action from last generation and the campaign isn’t too shabby either, Battlefield 3 is a great pick up when it is available on September 16th.
