If you miss hearing “wololo” in intense strategy games, we’ve got some great news. While Age of Empires IV is still a ways away, Adam Isgreen, Creative Director at Microsoft, confirmed that Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will be releasing on February 20th, 2018. Even though it’s slipped from the planned 20th anniversary release, for RTS veterans I’m sure the wait will be worthwhile.
The game is a Windows Store exclusive and will cost $19.99 USD. There’s a variety of major improvements, such as support for 4K resolution, campaign narration for every single mission, Xbox Live online play, an enhanced campaign editor, a re-recorded orchestral score and much more. The multiplayer beta will be opening up to everybody on January 29th, so you can try the game out before it releases.
