This weekend John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum took the top spot in the box office from Avengers: Endgame. The third movie in the popular franchise grossed an estimated $57 million domestically.
The last two John Wick movies had smaller opening weekends. The first movie only grossed $14 million while John Wick: Chapter 2 grossed $30 million in their opening weekends. At the moment the movie has grossed $35 million from the foreign market. That brings the world-wide total to $92 million so far. Avengers: Endgame added $29 million this weekend, the movie sits at $2.6 billion. It passed Avatar as the second highest domestic movie of all time as it sits at $770 million. Pokemon Detective Pikachu added $24.8 million this weekend. That movie sits at $206 million world-wide.

Next weekend three movies will be releasing that can take down one of these top three movies. Aladdin, Brightburn, and Booksmart will all be released. Following that weekend the second Godzilla movie will be releasing. I can’t wait to sit in the theater and watch Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Hopefully everyone had a great weekend and is prepared for the final episode of Game of Thrones.
