The very first image of Jim Carrey as the villainous Dr. Robotnik has been leaked on the internet and you can have a look at him in all of his mustachioed glory. You can check out the image for yourself thanks to a tweet from writer Daniel Richtman below:

I am honestly not sure how I feel about this. To be fair to Mr. Carrey, this is not nearly as bad as I had first feared when I heard he would be playing the villain in this film. On the other hand, nothing about this movie has me excited. At least not yet.
Oh, and if you are wondering if this is a genuine image of Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik or if it might be a fake, I can assure you that the image has been confirmed as genuine. Scott Wampler – the editor of Birth.Movies.Death – attests that he has seen Carrey as Robotnik earlier this month at CinemaCon. You can see his tweet below:
Can confirm that's real. We saw two trailers at CinemaCon, one which was entirely focused on Carrey as Robotnik. He's playing the character in what I would describe as "late 90's Jim Carrey mode". https://t.co/t0HHJzy43s

In fact, the first official trailer for the Sonic movie is due tomorrow. Be sure to check back with The Inner Circle to watch the trailer.
How do you feel about Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. We would love to know your thoughts.
