No matter what happens in the gaming year, Activision’s long-running annual shooter Call of Duty still arrives. 2018 is no exception, as Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII has been officially revealed today, in development by Treyarch.

The tagline this time around is: Forget what you know.
It’s interesting to see Treyarch returning to the Black Ops series instead of starting a new one. We’ll have to see how things go when it’s fully revealed at a community event on May 17th, 2018. It will launch on October 12th, 2018, extremely early for the series, which traditionally releases in November. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was a downturn for the series and underperformed however, Call of Duty: WWII smashed records and sold extremely well. It’ll be interesting to see how Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII performs, as it’s got a serious competitor in the form of Red Dead Redemption 2. Just what awaits us?
