The Sea of Thieves closed beta is coming soon. Hopefully you signed up with the Sea of Thieves Insider program before the deadline of December 1st, 2017. I mean, if you didn’t then you will just have to watch while the rest of use who did get an invite play out our pirate fantasies. I bet you had a mini-stroke for a second, if you pre-order Sea of Thieves either digitally or in the physical format then you also can enjoy the closed beta without signing up as an Insider. If the game is pre-ordered in a brick and mortar store then make sure you get a code with the receipt to download the beta. The digital version should be showing up in your library.
Usually in a closed beta situation the player wont be able to stream or show any kind of gameplay. In this beta it will be encouraged for all players to do so. Now if you have footage of the Alpha just sitting around don’t use that. It could get you into some trouble.

The closed beta will be starting on January 24th and ending on January 29th. That’s five days we get to play the game before the full release. The game will be released on March 20th which you can pre-order still. Don’t forget that TiCGN is giving away a copy of the game and that awesome controller. I’m a little jealous that I have to pay for that controller and one lucky reader will get it for free.
