Disney Infinity Officially Comes To An End Next March

Earlier this year, Disney announced that they were shutting down Disney Interactive and Disney Infinity along with it. This caused a massive outcry from fans of the series, but alas the end was inevitable. The final figures/playset were released in the form of Dory and Nemo from Finding Dory in June. Disney has now officially given a timeline of the closure process for the game.

The most important news is that the servers will close for all of the games on March 3, 2017. All online services and community features will be shut down, but you will still be able to play all of the offline content. Atleast in the console versions, as the Apple TV and Windows 8/10 versions of the game will not be playable after this date.

Starting today, you will no longer be able to make purchases in the various PC and app versions of the game excluding the Steam version of 3.0.

On September 30, the PC, iOS, Google Android and Amazon Android versions of Disney Infinity will no longer be playable or downloadable.  The Steam versions of Disney Infinity 2.0 & 3.0 will remain online but all of the online services and community features will be discontinued. Players will not be allowed to submit any new custom made Toy Boxes, but they will still be able to download old ones.

It is sad to see all of this happened as Disney Infinity was a fun game, despite being poorly managed. If you’re looking to get into the series before it closes, now is the time. Retailers are trying to get rid of all of their stock before the fall. Playsets and figures are going for insane prices.
