Some cheeky snapshots came our way today courtesy of Just Jared. Daredevil’s second season’s filming is well under way and a bystander on set has seemingly managed to snap the Punisher in action. Not too long ago a Producer for the show said that next season will feel very much like Daredevil v.s The Punisher. It’s also been confirmed that Elektra will appear, played by Elodie Yung.
Punisher actor, Jon Bernthal, is no stranger to action having portrayed Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead TV show as well as Grady Travis in last year’s Fury. The official description (direct from Marvel themselves) of Frank Castle a.k.a The Punisher is as follows:
“He is a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.”
Marvel Television is, at the moment, on a good run so far with it’s Live-Action endeavours. We have Marvel Agents of Shield and Agent Carter over on ABC and Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil and The Defenders all releasing on Netflix. Daredevil season 1 released earlier this year to overwhelming critical acclaim with an aggregate score 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
