Project Cars hit the Million mark

Slightly Mad studios have released the official sales numbers for their multi-platform title Project Cars. The simulation racer sold 1 Million units worldwide across Xbox One, PC and PS4. They were attempting to port the game to WiiU, but the game struggled to hit 720p 23FPS in testing. Project Cars has since been put on ice, the game which is an open sourced crowd funded project managed to hit this target in a short release period.

Ian Bell, the lead developer celebrated the milestone stating, “To now stand here having reached over a million players in such a short time really justifies the work both the team and the community have done over the years. It solidifies Project CARS’ future as the multiplatform racing experience of choice for fans around the world,”.

Ian Bell earlier this month stated that the game will continue to be improved with additional Free DLC car packs and performance improvements. DirectX 12 will be implemented and Bell stated that it will give Xbox One owners between a 7 – 14% performance  improvement when the patch is released. DirectX 12 on Xbox one is expected to be released post summer along with the new Windows 10 Xbox One update.
