Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain 1080p 60Fps on Xbox One

Some interesting news straight out of E3 2015, a French website Gamekyo asked the Konami representative Julien Merceron what the framerate and resolution is for their upcoming titles PES 2016 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is. The representative proudly announced that Konami was very impressed by their new Fox Engine and that both titles will run at 1080p 60FPS on both the Xbox One and PS4.

Konami famously allowed that PES 2015 run at 720p 30FPS last year, which caused a huge backlash from the community. Konami said at the time that the Engine on which it was built was unable to run the game at a higher framerate due to ‘architecture’ differences. So the news is quite surprising.

Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain is expected to be released on September 1st on Xbox One and is on the top of a lot of gamers lists, we’ll just have to wait and see if Konami actually got it to run at 1080p 60FPS in a world where 30FPS is the norm.
