If you love the Sword Art Online series then you will be delighted to know that Sword Art Online Alicization will be heading to Toonami. That’s right, season 3 of SAO will make a 1-hour premiere on February 9th at 12:30 a.m. Currently, Mob Psycho 100 holds the 12:30 a.m. time-slot but don’t worry – this is just a premiere for Sword Art Online Alicization and won’t takeover that slot.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series, here is a brief description:Â “a Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online has been released where players control their avatars with their bodies using a piece of technology called: Nerve Gear. One day, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game’s tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life.”
