According to Major Nelson on the  E3 Xbox Daily Show the Summer of Arcade is coming back to the Xbox One in the form of Summer Spotlight. Summer of Arcade was a time of year on Xbox 360 when a selection of arcade games were marketed and promoted over the summer season with some type of incentive for purchasing select games. Usually these games were premium arcade games such as Braid, Castle Crashers, and Shadow Complex.

Major Nelson revealed part of the line-up for the first Summer Spotlight on Xbox One, Kings Quest, Smite, and Toy Soldiers War Chest. He did not go into to detail as to what other releases the Summer Spotlight will include.

In the E3 Xbox Daily Show the director of ID@Xbox Chris Charla detailed that the Summer Spotlight is going to maintain the “spirit” of Summer of Arcade with showcasing the best experiences Xbox One has to offer with their arcade titles and indies.
