The European product manager for Pro Evolution Soccer confirmed today that the 2016 edition of the game will indeed run at 1080p on Xbox One.
The previous iteration of Pro Evolution Soccer ’15 was one of the games that fueled the ResolutionGate controversy because the Xbox One version rendered graphics at 720p whereas the PS4 version enjoyed full 1080p graphics. It is nice to see that the developers reached resolution parity on both console versions of PES ’16 but we can only hope that the frame rate on both versions remains stable. Pro Evolution Soccer ’16 will be published by Konami and releases on September 15th in North America. The European release will be on September 17th.
