At Microsoft’s spring games event, a whole bunch of Killer Instinct Season 3 info was revealed, including that the season will begin on March 29.
The season will launch with four characters: the two returning characters from Killer Instinct Gold Kim-Wu and Tusk, as well as the two guest characters Rash and the Arbiter. The season will have more characters other than these four but how many characters and when they will come out hasn’t been revealed yet; however previously seasons had monthly character releases so expect Season 3 to follow suit.
There will also be three stages that come with Season 3. Kim-Wu’s China Town back alley, Tusk’s Arctic beach and Arbiter’s war torn home world go Shanghelios. As of now, these will be the only new stages this season; however, every character will still get their own theme song that will play in-game. Iron Galaxy hasn’t revealed how that will work but the themes will probably play when the character is chosen much like in Marvel vs Capcom.
Killer Instinct Season 3 launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 on March 29. Seasons 1 and 2 of Killer Instinct will launch on Windows 10 for the first time on March 29 as well.
