Sony dropped a bombshell on the gaming community when a remake of the beloved RPG, Final Fantasy VII was announced during the annual E3 press conference. Users of several notable video game forums such as NeoGAF pointed out that the trailer contained the words, “First on PS4.” This naturally led to speculation that the Final Fantasy VII remake would eventually find its way to Xbox One.

Today Damian Seeto reported on Attack of the Fanboy that an employee of EB Games Australia has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII will be a timed exclusive. The story begins on the Kingdom Hearts Insider forums, of all places. A user had noticed that EB Games has a pre-order page for Final Fantasy VII on Xbox One.

This user contacted EB games to confirm that Xbox One will get the game. As you can see from the screen capture below, EB Games has stated that Final Fantasy VII will indeed be available on XBox One and PS4 users will get it first.
