Notable manga authors Riichirou Inagaki (Eyeshield 21) and Boichi (Sun-Ken Rock) are teasing an important announcement regarding Dr. Stone that will be made in issue 51 of the weekly Shonen Jump magazine Given the recent success of the manga since its launch back in March 2017, I can only think of one thing that could be announced – an anime adaptation! This may be a little far-fetched given the series currently has about 81 chapters. With all of the content currently out there in the manga, I feel there is easily enough for a 12-episode season.
If you haven’t heard of Dr. Stone before, here is a brief synopsis from Vizmedia: “Senku, Taiju and Yuzuriha are well on their way to crafting gunpowder when they spot smoke far off in the distance. Convinced that it’s a sign of other humans, Senku takes a huge risk by sending up a smoke signal of their own. Meanwhile, Tsukasa is determined to stop their progress on gunpowder, and his arrival on the scene could spell the end for our heroes!”
