A Boy and His Blob is a re-imagining of the classic NES game A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia. The game released on the Wii in 2009 and is also backwards compatible on the Wii U. The game was first spotted on the PEGI European ratings system back in October of last year. On Monday it was also spotted on the Xbox Marketplace in the UK and then later confirmed today that it is indeed coming to Xbox One, PC, PS4, and PS Vita. The game has been a Nintendo exclusive since 1989 when the original game launched, until it releases latter this month on multiple platforms.
A Boy and His Blob is a platform-puzzle game being developed by Abstraction Games. The game is about the planet Blobolonia being threatened by a evil emperor and “the blob” flees to Earth to find help and eventually crash lands and finds “the boy”. The Boy and Blob team up to dethrone the emperor. NES fans will feel right at home with this classic nostalgia game re-imagined in HD. The game launches on January 19.
