After an explosive season 2 with twists, turns and Inhumans could Agent May be leaving S.H.I.E.L.D? In a recent interview actress Ming-Na Wen gave us some more details about how her character is feeling after the turbulent times for S.H.I.E.L.D in the past seasons.
“In any situation when someone is so devoted to their work as May was, but then realizing over the last two years that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t really what she dedicated her life to…That there was definitely a lot of corruption to S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as uncertainty now with the Inhumans being brought in by Coulson. It’s going to be figuring out her final decision in Season 3 and I think Andrew will probably play a part in it.”
Andrew is of course a reference to her husband who returned to work with S.H.I.E.L.D towards the end of season 2. He had previously left the organisation on poor terms, however, was willing to return to help Coulson with his powered individuals. This has also caused a rift between May and her boss as she had been unaware of the rebuilding of one of the Helicarriers during Theta Protocol. But could all this lead to May feeling left behind by the organisation she has spent so much of her time with? Season 3 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D releases on the 29th of September,2015.
