Xbox One SAD Edition

Xbox One S All Digital Edition Has Officially Been Revealed

For the past few months, there have been many rumors that Microsoft would test the consumer waters for an all-digital console. Thanks to an official reveal on today’s Inside Xbox we now all the concrete information on the disc-less Xbox One S.

The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is available to pre-order today, for $249.99 USD and will officially launch on May 7th. Included with the console are digital copies of Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves and Minecraft. The most interesting aspect of this latest addition to the Xbox One family is that the price will always be $50 lower than the standard Xbox One S. Which means that we could possibly see the Xbox One SAD go for as low of a price as $149.99 if we were to follow last years Black Friday pricing. As this generation draws to a close, it is definitely intriguing for Microsoft to bring a new SKU out, while we presumably are awaiting a next-generation announcement at E3 this year. Presumably, Microsoft is testing the all-digital market to see if there is an untapped market in this area. It should be very interesting to see how the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will do when it makes its way to market on May 7th.
