Josh Holmes, Studio Head at 343 Industries, has come out in a blog post and corrected what was previously said about the Online Co-op for Halo 5. In it he apologizes for what was misspoken for Game Informer interview and goes on to say that “Co-op campaign will require Xbox Live Gold to play. I want to extend my sincere apologies to our fans, and to Game Informer, for this error and any confusion it has caused.”
If you don’t have Xbox Live Gold and want to take part in the online co-op experience don’t worry, Josh stated that Halo 5 Guardians will come with a 14 day trial of Xbox Live Gold. He also thanks everyone for their support and can’t wait to show more at E3 next week.
