Xbox game to be announced for Nintendo Switch during IndieWorld Direct

There will be an IndieWorld Direct on Monday, August 19th and as you can probably guess from the title, the presentation will focus on indie video games for the Nintendo Switch. There will apparently be two games announced during this Nintendo Direct that are either Xbox first party titles or were at least launched first on the Xbox One console. This news tip comes from games industry analyst Daniel Ahmad who tweets under the handle ZHugeEx. You can check out his tweets below:

My guess is that Ori and the Blind Forest is the game that will be announced during the IndieWorld Direct on Monday. It may not technicaly be an indie game as the IP is owned by Microsoft but both games in the series are produced by Moon Studios. Whichever game gets announced will join , New Super Lucky’s Tale and Cuphead as a group of games that were originally published by Microsoft for Xbox One.

You can watch the IndieWorld Direct on Monday, August 19th on Nintendo’s website or on their official YouTube channel. The North American version begins at 6 a.m. Pacific time or 9 a.m. Eastern time. The presentation will be about 20 minutes long. Ahmad also teases that at least two major indie games will also be announced for the Switch.
