It’s no question that Nintendo shocked the press with its announcement of a stylized re-releasing of thirty classic games from its NES library (including third-party favorites like Mega Man 2, Castlevania, and Super C!) this November for a reasonable $59.99 price tag.
But the question I will be publicly proposing – and theorizing the answer for – is if Nintendo could go above and beyond by giving the Super NES and Nintendo 64 the same treatment, and how.
By that, I mean what kinds of games would be presented on the respective consoles. In no particular order, here is my personalized list of thirty games I would like to see for if the Super NES gets to be part of the Classic Edition rebranding.
- Super Mario World
- Mega Man X
- Yoshi’s Island

- Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest

As mentioned earlier, what if, by some miracle, that not only would this dream Super Nintendo re-release come true, but Nintendo also produces that of the Nintendo 64? What would those thirty games be? Once more, here’s what I would like to see happen.

TICGN’s very own Cristian Reyes adds that his personal expectations for a Super Nintendo Classic Edition would at least include The Lion King, Super Mario World, Aladdin, and Power Rangers, as well as Donkey Kong 64 in the Nintendo 64’s case.
