Nintendo has revealed the details on North America’s next Splatoon 2 Splatfest. The theme this time around is “Vampires vs. Werewolves.”

As always, Splatfests are events in which players pick a faction and compete against the opposing team in special Turf War matches. During the event, players will only team up with others in their faction. Votes, solo win ratio, and team win ratio all determine which side will emerge victorious. Everyone who participates will receive special sea snails, but those who sided with the winning faction will get more. These items are only available through these events and players can use them to alter the slots on their clothing.
While the war goes on, players can only wear the shirt they received for voting. Those who pick early can prepare for the event by racking up experience and earning abilities before the event. These shirts also happen to be cheaper to scrub, providing a great opportunity for farming ability chunks.
The event starts on Friday the 13th at 9:00pm (PT). As with most Splatfests, it will last 24 hours. For more on the game itself, please check out our review.
