Creative Assembly and SEGA have officially revealed the sequel to their fantasy RTS from 2016. Total War: WARHAMMER 2 will be heading to PC. Along with this announcement, they have uploaded a cinematic trailer for the game to YouTube.

This upcoming entry in the series brings four playable races: High Elves, Lizardmen, Dark Elves, and a secretive fourth race. While we can only speculate as to what this other race will be, there are a ton of obvious signs pointing toward “Skaven.” This title also brings four new regions: Lustria, Ulthuan, Naggaroth, and the Southlands.

For the campaign, players get to choose from eight Legendary Lords across the four races. Each Lord features a unique starting point and each race has its own narrative. Of course, all races feature unique units and mechanics as well. During the campaign, players will need to succeed in performing a series of rituals to control The Great Vortex whilst fending off and hindering the other factions.

Total War: WARHAMMER 2 is the second entry in a trilogy of games and the creators have incorporated a few neat systems into this. Those who own both titles will have access to a massive combined campaign. This connects The Old World with the sequel’s new lands, creating one epic map. Players can take on this challenge as any race from either title.
