These are the Bestselling Games Based on Ratings on Xbox One since launch

Microsoft have been very tight lipped about sales numbers since launch when it comes to the Xbox One and fans have been wondering how well specific games have been doing and which games are the most popular on Xbox One. Well we had a look on the Xbox One store (Digital Only) and gauged sales numbers based on reviews posted.

These are the best selling titles on Xbox One based on the number of ratings given and assumes that one purchase was made per review posted. This was assembled on the US store and includes worldwide ratings posted.

  1. Minecraft – 98889
  2. Grand Theft Auto V – 74450
  3. Destiny – 53199
  4. Battlefield 4 – 50648
  5. Forza Motorsport 5 – 49643
  6. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – 49226
  7. Call of Duty: Ghosts – 48227
  8. Halo: The Master Chief Collection – 38682
  9. Fifa 15 – 37631
  10. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – 34501
  11. Titanfall – 33658
  12. Dead Rising 3 – 33005
  13. Ryse: Son of Rome – 32030
  14. Mortal Combat X – 31316
  15. Killer Instinct – 31156

This is not official but it gives an overall impression as to which titles was purchased and reviewed the most. Unsurprisingly Minecraft was the most popular title, followed by Grand Theft Auto V which sold over 50 Million units according to Rockstar. Games like The Witcher 3 sold over 4 Million units. Respawn noted that they reached 10 Million Players on Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360 last month.

Here are some notable mentions for some of the Xbox One’s other exclusive titles and how many reviews they received. Halo 5: Guardians and Forza Motorsport 6 haven’t received enough reviews on Xbox Live so they do not show up mainly due to the fact that they released in the last month.

  • Sunset Overdrive – 15915
  • Forza Horizon 2 – 16770
  • Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – 14222

Again, this is just an analyses on the total reviews games received on Xbox Live and won’t completely cover all sales of games both Digital and Physical. These are numbers for reviews since 2013 and it’s expected that launch titles are at the top of the list instead of games that recently released. No free games received enough reviews to be included in this list.
