According to an update on the official Playstation blog, The Last of Us Part II has now officially been delayed. We wrote recently about the game’s original announced release in February of 2020. It would seem that due to complications, the game will now release on May 29, 2020.
If you’re wondering what sort of complications caused the delay, the blog explains more. While nearing the end of development, the team realized the entire game wasn’t up to their standards. Rather than compromise on quality, they chose to push back the release of The Last of Us Part II. While this may be disappointing to some fans, I personally am glad they chose this route. I would rather wait for three more months for a fully finished game than play a sub-par one early.
