The fine folks over at DontNod Entertainment and Square Enix have finally released the first trailer for Life is Strange 2 along with some details about the game. You can watch the trailer for yourself below:
The game features two new protagonists – a 16-year old named Sean Diaz and his 9-year old brother, Daniel. The trailer shows that Sean was involved in a particularly violent encounter with a police officer and the two brothers flee the city so that they can stay together. Sean decides that the two brothers must trek to Mexico and make a life for themselves in the same city their family hails from.
Life is Strange 2 will of course force the player to make some very hard decisions and your choices will not only impact the story but also influence the development of your younger brother, Daniel.
If you thought that a new Life is Strange game would have some sort of power … well, you would be right. A new power will indeed manifest within the game but the developers are not saying what it is yet.
DontNod Entertainment promises to reveal more game features over the next week but assures us that Life is Strange 2 is the most ambitious entry in the series so far. If you have not yet played The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit yet, this would be a good time to do so and see how details from that game lead to the story of Sean and Daniel.
Life is Strange 2 will launch on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One on September 27th.
