Despite owning Rare, the 3D platformer genre has been mostly absent on the Xbox. The genre has been making a comeback recently and it looks Microsoft is finally going to dip their toes in it, albeit with a new IP. Super Lucky’s Tale was announced during Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
The game features a fox as its protagonist in a bright, colorful world with a plethora of kooky characters. The gameplay looks similar to Super Mario 3D World as its changes perspectives from 2D to 2.5D. Not much else was revealed about the title, but it should scratch the platformer itch. Expect more to be revealed about the game in the coming days.
Super Lucky’s Tale is set to launch exclusively on Xbox One and PC on November 7.
