Star Wars 1313 is Not Forgotten, Lucasflims to “explore”

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has addressed Star Wars 1313 and has shed light on the fact that it may not be dead after all.

Having been interviewed by Slashfilm, Kennedy said, “We don’t want to throw any of that stuff away, it’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.” He says Lucasfilms was hoping to “explore” the unused material for Star Wars 1313 and the canceled Star Wars Underworlds television series.

Star Wars 1313 was a third-person action-adventure set in the lower depths of Coruscant and was originally announced prior to E3 2012. Later that year at Gamescom, LucasArts showed off the trailer for the game. The following April, LucasArts was effectively no more. It has been on hold ever since. The trademark was abandoned by Disney back in 2014 and the only updates since were concept art and leaked story details.

This does not officially confirmed that Star Wars 1313 will be coming back from the dead but we can only hope that this is the first real news in a while that can hint on it’s revival.
