ARK on Xbox One Runs At 30 – 45 FPS at Launch

Jesse Rapczak (Co-Founder of Studio Wildcard) revealed the first details of ARK Xbox One.

On his twitter, he mentioned that it will run at 30-45 FPS. “Depends on lots of things but usually between 30-45 FPS at launch.”

He has also stated on the Xbox One’s optimizations saying, “Lotta questions about optimization on @Xbox – runs and looks great, lots of XB1-specific optimizations – more than PC atm!” As well as, “XB1 optimizations coming back to PC soon. We’ll keep you posted!”

He has also stated the servers saying “Official Dedicated servers just like PC, or you can host a dedicated server on another XB1”. If you were to host the game then you would need two copies of the game and two Xbox Live Gold accounts. “Currently req 2 copies of the game and 2 XBL acct for private server.”

For non-dedicated servers, he stated, “This is only for dedicated serv. Can also host non-dedicated for 4 players.” He also addressed if splitscreen was a possibility and said on his twitter, “Not at launch, although we’d like to support it. We’ll find out what we can do during Game Preview!”
