After the screenshots and boxart leaked yesterday, we now have the cinematic Shadow of the Tomb Raider official trailer! In it, Lara Croft makes her way through a vast jungle, cutting down foes like a predator facing some serious internal struggles.

As Lara Croft races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, she must become the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.

I’ve been a huge fan of the Tomb Raider reboot series, so I’m definitely interesting in seeing how this one turns out. Interestingly enough, Eidos-Montréal has taken the lead in developing this game, with Crystal Dynamics serving in a support role. It was the other way around for the first two games. We’ll likely see gameplay for the first time at E3 2018, and if the Xbox logo in the trailer is any indicator, the Xbox press conference seems a solid bet. I’m looking forward to it!
