The Assassin’s Creed franchise has been a longtime mainstay in Ubisoft’s prolific library of IP’s. The franchise has certainly come a long way since the first game launched back all the way back in 2007. Now 12 years later, one of the most exciting aspects of the franchise continues to be what location or era of history will the next game tackle? Well thanks to a keen eyed YouTuber JorRaptor, we may have a clue to what the next era of history Assassin’s Creed will tackle. As originally reported by Kotaku, the next Assassin’s Creed game could feature Vikings.

It is important to note a key detail, which of course is the symbolic Apple of Eden being held in the Viking warriors hand. Many fans of the Assassins Creed franchise will be very familiar with the Apple of Eden, which has been a core story point in Assassins Creed. Could this poster point to what we could expect next from Ubisoft? After Assassins Creed Origins and Odyssey tackled Egyptian and Greek mythologies, it seems almost like the best next step for the franchise. We will have to wait and see, Ubisoft has not made an official comment on these rumors as of yet.
