Red Dead Redemption 2 Is 60 Hours Long

Red Dead Redemption 2 Is 60 Hours Long According to Rockstar Games

While gamers have been anticipating Red Dead Redemption 2, the next massive title from Rockstar Games, there hasn’t been a benchmark for exactly how big this game would be. In an interview with Dan Houser, Vulture confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is 60 hours long.

Here’s the quote confirming Red Dead Redemption 2 is 60 hours long:

The acting for Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode is now complete, but as release day approaches, five hours of the 65-hour game are dumped.

Based on that quote, it seems like the game was around 65 hours long before five hours were cut. It also seems to mean that the game is 60 hours long, not just the story mode.

On another interesting note, it appears protagonist Arthur Morgan once had two love interests but one of them was removed at some point during development. Dan Houser said in the interview with Vulture that “we decided one of them didn’t work.”

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more information on Red Dead Redemption 2, you can check out a recent gameplay trailer here and huge batch of screenshots here.
