Reaver Industries Website Appears, Possible Tease for New Fable?

Since earlier this year, the rumor mill has been churning, with hints that Playground Games might be working on a new Fable game. Eurogamer reported this was the case and some convincing evidence showed up on ResetEra. Even more fuel was thrown on the fire when during the Xbox E3 2018 conference, Phil Spencer announced that Playground Games was one of multiple new studios being acquired by Microsoft to produce first-party content for Xbox. Well, even more evidence is beginning to show up.

As noted by ResetEra user Morgoth Bauglir, a website for Reaver Industries has appeared online (you can check it out right here). It’s pretty barebones right now, only stating that it’ll be open to the public in 2020. Finding it via Google search brings up this:

There’s another website (www.reaver.uk) which directs the user to one of three pages. The first brings up the aforementioned page, the second redirects back and doesn’t go anywhere, while the third brings up this:

MMXX is of course Roman numeral for 2020. There’s also a LinkedIn page, which you can check here. The owner is called Chips N’ Gravy, which could be a humorous joke, or indicate that this isn’t anything owned by or associated with Xbox and Microsoft. If this is a hoax of some type, a huge amount of effort has gone into it.

Now, if you don’t recall the name Reaver Industries, they were an influential company during the events of Fable III, working for King Logan and later the new monarch. They engaged in child labor, gave terrible wages and the like. It’s possible this is all part of a marketing plan for the next Fable game. The logo used on the websites is a match for the company’s logo in-game (which you can see here).

With all that said, I want to emphasize that this is all speculation based on a website showing up and appearing to be legitimate. It’s possible this is early marketing however, it’s also just as possible this is all a joke. Hopefully we’ll find out more soon.
